Odisha unit of Congress and BJP today continued their fight against Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena for his alleged involvement in a sex tape and its connection in the alleged murder of engineering student Rishi Mohanty.


According to Women Congress President Sasmita Behera, its party workers today submitted memorandums to BDOs across all 314 blocks of the state addressed to the Governor demanding CBI probe to Rishi murder and seeking resignation of Mayor Jena.

Besides, they also demanded safety, security and due dignity for women in the state.

BJP, on the other hand, launched a 9-minute audio CD in connection with the case.

They are also conducting ‘Janata Darbar’ and holding roadside meetings to take the issue to the public.

In the first phase, the party conducted two road side meetings in Bhubaneswar today, said a notification by the party.

The saffron party has been demanding resignation and arrest of Jena for his alleged links with the case.
