Bhubaneswar, May 1:
With the e-evaluation and manual evaluation of annual Plus Two papers still underway, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) authorities are still hopeful that the results would be announced in the last week of May.
Sources said CHSE had decided to complete the evaluation by April 25. But as the evaluation could not be completed in time it had said the process would be completed by April 30.
However, considering the number of papers remaining for evaluation, it now says it would take at least one week. The results would be announced after tabulation and preparation of certificates are completed.
As informed by Biranchi Narayan Mishra, Controller of Examinations, CHSE, e-evaluation Science papers would be completed in a day or two. However, it would take at least 5-6 days to complete the e-evaluation of Mathematics papers.
He also said the e-evaluation of Science papers was delayed as the scanned copies of the answer-sheets were not legible. However, the TCS firm has rescanned these papers and sent for e-evaluation.
“E-evaluation of these re-scanned papers is on. There will be slight delay as efforts are on to ensure zero error”, Mishra said.
He said the manual evaluation of Arts and Commerce papers would be completed very soon while it will take 2-3 days to complete the evaluation of IT and Political Science papers.
“We have requisitioned vehicles to bring back the papers whose evaluation is completed at various centres. Considering the entire process, we hope that the results would be announced in the last week of May”, he said.
