Bhubaneswar, Nov 7:
Debaraj Mishra, former collector of Bolangir district in Odisha who was arrested by the vigilance today, has said he has been ‘falsely implicated’ in the case.
While being taken away by vigilance sleuths to be produced in the executive magistrate’s court here this afternoon, Mishra, however, declined to specify who had ‘fixed’ him. I will say whatever I have to say in the court,” he told media persons before being driven away.
Vigilance sources said a host of incriminating documents, besides a large stock of gold, had been seized from his Kapilaprasad residence here during the marathon raid that began early this morning.
Meanwhile, candidates who lost out on being recruited as RIs and amins have demanded that all those involved in the scam must be arrested.
“We have information that at least 16 government officials are involved in the massive irregularities in the recruitment and demand that all of them must be arrested and prosecuted,” one of them told a local television channel.
Another candidate demanded the scrapping the appointments fraudulently made and conduct of fresh tests.
