The process for rechecking and re-addition of allegedly wrongly evaluated Plus Two answer sheets began today at the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha headquarters here.
A special officer has been attached to each group to handle decoding, rechecking, re-addition and preparing photocopies of answer sheets, sources added.
Sources said all the 30 lakh answer sheets which were lying at different hubs have arrived at the CHSE headquarters here over the last five days.
While 13,213 students have applied for rechecking at the council’s head office here, 5,200 have filled up forms for the same at three zonal offices at Berhampur, Sambalpur and Baripada till date and moreover students are also submitting applications for rechecking at their respective colleges through the principals, sources informed.
CHSE chairman Dr Basudev Chatoi said “Subject experts during scrutiny will examine if there has been any discrepancy in addition of papers or any part was left out during evaluation”.
The Higher Education department has directed the CHSE to immediately upload corrected mark sheets on the website once the process of rechecking and re-addition is over, said sources.
Additional Director of Higher Education Amiya Mohanty clarified “Our priority is to let students know the corrected mark sheets if there is any revision in their marks after re-checking of Plus II papers”.
The CHSE has been in the firing line since the publication of results of the Plus Two examinations for faulty evaluation of answer sheets.
