Bhubaneswar, June 11:
While the opposition BJP and Congress are ready with enough ammunition to put the Odisha government on the mat on the floor of the Assembly, the ruling BJD armed with 117 law makers today exuded confidence about its ability to counter the opposition in the House.
The legislature party of BJD, which held its meeting at the Assembly, has decided not to introduce any bill during this session, so far, and discuss every issue that the opposition bring in the house.
“During the Assembly session, we will meet in the house to discuss important issues positively. Whatever issues members of opposition bring out, we would discuss the matters,” Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik told media persons after coming out of BJD LP meeting.
Following Modi style, the Chief Minister has directed the MLAs to be present in the house and participate in the proceedings of the Assembly. They have also been asked to raise constituency specific issues in order to connect with the people.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh said the party would work to meet the aspirations of people and discuss every issues to be raised for betterment of the state.
