Reach Mobile plans to invest over Rs 10 crore in the Odisha market in FY 2015-16, Vinay Kumar, president of Rashmi Group said here today.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch of two HD smartphones of Reach Mobile here, Kumar said, “Reach Mobile, a part of the $1 billion Rashmi Group, is having 15 distributors reaching out to over 1000 retail points in the state. We would be investing Rs 10 crore in manpower, infrastructure, marketing and advertising to enhance our market share in Odisha and elevate us to the Number -1 brand from the current number-3 position.”
“The response which Reach Mobile has received during a year’s time since its launch has been very encouraging. We could successfully introduce 50 models of handsets in the national market catering to all usage segments such as feature phone, touch enabled phone, 3G android smart phone and now HD phones,” he said.
The two new affordable HD smartphones launched in the state are ‘Reach Klassy 300 HD’ and ‘Reach Klassy 400 HD’.
Reach Klassy 300 HD has a 5-inch HD screen with IPS pane,l which makes the visuals vivid and full of life. The 1.3 GHz quad core cortex A7 processor fully loaded with updated Android v4.4.2 (Kitkat) enables it to swap through different apps easily.
The handset has 8 MP back and 3.2 MP front cameras. The 2400 mAH battery provides long battery life while internal storage memory is expandable up to 32 GB.
Klassy 300 HD is also blended with some outstanding unique features like smart gestures, smart wake-up, hot knot gesture, voice gesture camera, print-through-phone and OTG (On-the-Go) where one can attach pen drive as well. The phone costs Rs 6,999 in the state.
Klassy 400 HD has a 5 inch HD screen with IPS and OGS display gives higher uniform clarity. The smartphone is full to capacity with 1.2 GHz quad core cortex A7 processor, 1 GB RAM fully loaded with updated android v4.4.5 (kitkat). The handset has 8 MP back and 3.2 MP front cameras. The 2400 mAH battery provides long battery life while internal storage memory expandable up to 64 GB. It costs Rs 7,199.
“There are around 50 Reach mobile service centre in the state. In Bhubaneswar, the service centre is located at plot number-163 as Prayas technologies in Bapuji Nagar area. Currently, we are selling 70,000 hansets every month,” said Kinjal Desai, head of Corporate Affairs, Rashmi Group.
