Two students were suspended for a period of two years after the Staff Council of Ravenshaw university passed a resolution against them for their involvement in the blasts at the office of the vice-chancellor late last night. They had been named in the FIR lodged with the Malgodown police station by the university authorities.
According to the FIR, three persons including two students and their associates had barged inside the university premises late last night and threw four bombs at the office damaging the office properties.
A scientific team this morning began investigation into a series of four blasts at the office of vice chancellor of the Ravenshaw University late last night.
“We have lodged an FIR against three persons – two of them students and another outsider – for the bomb attack. The attack was in retaliation for the cancellation of students’ union election in the university,” said vice chancellor Baishnab Charan Tripathy.
