Odisha suffered a humiliating defeat on the last day of the Ranji Trophy Group-A match against Gujarat at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ground here on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 260 runs, the visitors slumped to 83 all out, giving Gurajat a huge 166-run victory.
Resuming at their overnight score at 345 for 8, Odisha added just 22 runs before being bundled out for 367.
With a 112-run first innings lead, Gujarat began aggressively and declared their second innings at 137 for 7 in 22 overs.
All-rounder AR Patel was the top scorer with an unbeaten 54.
The visitors began their second innings disastrously as the two seamers— AR Patel and JJ Bumrah— ran through the top order and shared 8 wickets between them.
Patel returned with 5 for 23 from 17 overs while Bumrah completed the rout with 3/26 from 10.5 overs.
