Bhubaneswar, Dec 31:
State Commission for Women chairperson Lopamudra Buxipatra while demanding stern action against the accused in the burning to death of a control dealer Pranati Das in Rambha today sought an action taken report (ATR) from the superintendent of police, Ganjam.
Speaking to the media, Buxipatra said a team of the Commission will visit Rambha for an on the spot inquiry very soon. She said the Commission will seek trial of the case in a fast-track court for speedy delivery of justice and punishment to the culprits.
Meanwhile,Ganjam S P, Asish Singh said five persons identified as Bikash Nahak, Kedar Nahak, Manas Nahak, Sudhir Nahak belonging to the same village that of the victim have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the heinous crime and one Kameswar Nahak of the same village was still at large. He added that search for Kameswar was on and he would be arrested very soon.
