Rain would lash most parts of the north and coastal districts of Odisha in the next 48 hours, the local Met office said today.
The Bhubaneswar Met Centre director Dr Sarat Sahu said, rain or thunder squall accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 70-80 kmph may occur at one or two places over Odisha during next 48 hours under the influence of a cyclonic circulation that has formed over Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Begal.
Dr Sahu, however, said there would be a marked rise in temperature across the state after two days.
