A team of Vigilance officials today conducted simultaneous raids at the houses and office chamber of Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) senior environmental scientist Bisikesan Nayak and detected movable and immovable properties worth Rs 1 crore in his name and in his family members’ name.
Vigilance officials raided Nayak’s residence at Haripriya Enclave in IRC Village, plots at Hatia Tangar in Keonjhar and his office chamber in OSPCB, Bhubaneswar.
“During the search, vigilance officials detected household articles worth Rs 7 lakh, motor vehicles worth Rs 5 lakh, gold and silver ornaments of Rs 1,16,000, bank and insurance premium deposits and hard cash worth over Rs 1 crore,” sources said.
Immovable properties worth Rs 65 lakh were also detected during the raid, they added.
Meanwhile, vigilance officials said a case of disproportionate assets has been registered against Nayak and further investigation is on.
