Bhubaneswar: Congress President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to undertake another tour of Odisha on March 15 and address a public meeting in the State, a senior party leader said today.
Rahul Gandhi will address the ‘Parivartan Sankalpa Samavesh’ at Bargarh Sadar block, informed senior Congress leader and incharge of Odisha, TS Singh Deo, who visited the spot this afternoon along with local leaders of the party.
Rahul Gandhi will raise host of issues such as unemployment, women’s security, agrarian crisis, among others, Singh Deo added.
The Congress President’s visit to the State assumes significance as the grand-old party became the first among others which has shortlisted a list of probable candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
It may recalled here that the Congress Chief had promised free education for women in Odisha if his party is voted to power during his last visit to the State on March 8.
Besides, he had also vowed to work for the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament.
