Vigilance sleuths today carried out simultaneous raids at the office and houses of a PWD assistant engineer of Kamarda section in Odisha’s Baleswar district on charges of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
As per reports, the anti-corruption wing officials this morning raided the office of Mihir Patra at Kamarda and his residence at Tulasichaura area in Baripada.
Similarly, raid was also conducted at Patra’s ancestral house in Bangiriposi. During the raids, the sleuths seized some incriminating documents.
They also seized a luxury car, land documents, bank passbooks and gold jewellery during the raid, sources said.
Notably, the raid was conducted on the directions of Vigilance SP (Cuttack). A team led by Vigilance DSP Prakash Kumar Nayak raided the office and houses of Patra.
