President Pranab Mukherjee will arrive in Odisha on a one-day visit on August 7.
The President would inaugurate the golden jubilee celebration of Rameswar High School at Rameswar village in Khordha district on August 7 to fulfill the long-cherished dream of former chief minister and governor of Assam Late JB Patnaik.
The school managing committee has expressed its happiness after receiving a communique from the Rashtrapati Bhawan wherein the President has given his consent to inaugurate the golden jubilee celebration of the High School.
Among others, governor SC Jamir, chief minister Naveen Patnaik and Editor of Sambad Soumya Ranjan Patnaik would grace the function, said convener of the Golden Jubilee Committee, Biswa Mohan Patnaik at a press briefing here on Sunday.
He said the committee has requested Union Petroleum and Natural Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan, School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Rural Development minister Badri Narayan Patra, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani, Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda, Khordha MLA Rajendra Kumar Sahu, former minister Suresh Kumar Routray and Khordha collector Niranjan Sahu to attend on the second day of the golden jubilee celebration on August 8.
