New Delhi, Feb 24:
President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday greeted the Amir and people of Kuwait on their National Day on Thursday and hoped that bilateral relations will be strengthened further.
In a message to Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, Mukherjee revisited “the millennia-old cultural, religious and economic exchanges” between the two countries.
“The historical and friendly relations between India and Kuwait are based on the millennia-old cultural, religious and economic exchanges between our two countries, characterised by extensive people-to-people contacts and deep mutual respect.”
He expressed hope that the ongoing cooperation across political, economic and cultural spectrum between the two countries would be further strengthened.(IANS)
