Prawn trader among two critical as miscreants hurl bombs in Odisha

Bhadrak: Unidentified miscreants hurled crude bombs at two persons, including a prawn trader, leaving the duo critically injured near Balukuri Chhak under Chandabali police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, late last night.

The victims, identified as Bidyadhar Samal and Sudarsan Sethi, are undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

According to reports, five miscreants hurled three bombs at Bidyadhar and Sudarsan, and fled the spot. Locals rescued the two in a critical condition and rushed them to the Chandabali Community Health Centre.

They were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital for better treatment. Both have sustained grievious injuries on legs, family sources said.

Police have started investigation into the incident and efforts were on to identify the miscreants. The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
