Bhubaneswar, Oct 31:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Odisha on November 2, official sources said.
Singh would visit Ganjam and Baleswar districts which were ravaged by the recent Cyclone Phailin and subsequent floods.
The chief secretary has called a co-ordination meeting this evening at the state secretariat for the necessary preparations. The meeting will be attended by secretaries of all departments, official sources said.
Meanwhile, chief minister Naveen Patnaik has asked his Cabinet colleagues to stay put in the capital on November 2 in view of the PM’s visit.
Patnaik has also asked the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to prepare a detailed report on the damages and fund requirement for rebuilding and rehabilitation which will be presented to the Prime Minister, the sources said.
