The Plus Two Instant examination, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), began in Odisha today.
The examination which began at 10 AM will conclude at 1 PM.
The examination was scheduled to begin yesterday. However, it was extended by a day due to the Odisha bandh call given by the Congress.
More than 9000 students are appearing in the examination at 33 centres.
Of the 33 centres, two centres are each in Cuttack, Khordha and Sundargarh districts while the remaining 27 districts have one centre each.
According to CHSE Controller of Examinations, Biranchi Narayan Mishra, the Council has despatched question and answer sheets to all centres.
The Council has taken up all possible steps to ensure smooth conduct of the examination, he said.
The students of Arts, Science and Vocational Education will appear the theory papers on the first day of the examination while the students of Zoology will appear the theory paper on June 29.
The practical examination for the Arts, Science and Vocational Education is scheduled on July 30 while the Zoology practical examination would be held on July 1.
Each examination centre will have a superviser while each hall will have three invigilators.
The examination would conclude on July 1.
“The Council has requested the police and the district administration to look into the problem faced by any student during the examination, Mishra said, adding that the results of the examination would be announced by July 15.
