Bhubaneswar, Mar 3:
The annual Plus Two examinations, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), began at 1080 centres spread across in the state this morning.
A total of 3,24,461 students in Arts, Science and Commerce streams are appearing in the examinations at 1080 centres.
There would be only sitting on the first day of the examinations. The sitting began at 10 am and will end at 1 pm.
Earlier, the question papers kept in 205 hubs were brought to the examination centres amid tight security and opened in the presence of a senior district official as a representative of the collector.
After the conclusion of the examinations, the officials would collect the answer sheets and deposit them at the hubs.
To prevent malpractice, the Council has formed a three-tier squad that would pay surprise visits to all examination centres to see if the examinations are being properly monitored by the respective centre superintendents.
Executive magistrates would be in charge of the overall supervision of the examinations in each district.
