The Odisha Assembly was today repeatedly adjourned by Speaker Niranjan Pujari as Opposition members created ruckus in the House after an adjournment motion moved by them for a debate over violence during the panchayat polls in the state wasn’t accepted by him.
The BJP and Congress legislators shouted slogans over the issue on the second day of the Budget Session after the House assembled for the day.
Unable to run the House, Speaker Pujari adjourned it till 11.45 am.
Noisy scenes prevailed after the House reassembled as Opposition members rushed to the Well of the House and created din.
The Speaker again adjourned the House for 30 minutes and called an all-party meeting to break the deadlock.
