One injured in bomb attack in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Oct 13:

One person was injured in a crude bomb attack in Unit 1 area of Odisha’s capital city this evening at about 8 PM.

Unit-1 Bombing

The injured person, identified as Abhisek Pradhan, is a B.Tech student in a city based college. He was attacked by unidentified miscreants who hurled crude bombs at him in the lane between the residential quarters of two senior IPS officers Nitinjit Singh and Sunil Roy in Unit 1 area.

Old rivalry is suspected to be the reason behind the attack, police sources said. Police has seized a Hero Maestro scooter from the spot possibly left by the attackers while fleeing from the spot.

While Pradhan has been admitted to Capital hospital for treatment, police has begun investigations into the incident.
