Bhubaneswar: They are small in age but their capabilities are simply astonishing. Well, age is just a number, they say. On Children’s Day, meet these ‘wonder kids’ of Odisha possessing some jaw-dropping inborn talents.

Ayush Ashirbad Mohanty (11), Class-VII, St Xavier’s School, Bhubaneswar

Having a sharp photographic memory, Ayush can recall the names and atomic numbers of all the elements in a flick. His abilities were earlier featured in national media with Aaj Tak referring him as ‘Wonder Boy’, Zee TV as ‘Google Boy’, Bansal News as ‘Living Encyclopaedia’ and Sadhna TV as ‘Taare Zameen Par’.

Jinisha Priyadarshini (12), Class-VII, SAI International School, Bhubaneswar

This talented girl has the ability to remember contents of books belonging to classes higher than that of her.

Swarup Siddharth Parida (9), Class-IV

He vividly remembers names and atomic numbers of various elements in the periodic table.

Subrat Sahu (13), Class-VII, St Xavier International School, Bhubaneswar

He has the amazing ability of recalling each and every word of Oxford Dictionary with its respective page numbers.

Simran Sahu (5), Class-I

At the mere age of 5, this child prodigy has managed to remember about 80 per cent of the words contained in the Oxford Dictionary.

In order to sharpen their gifted abilities, these kids are currently undergoing training at Superb Mind Educom Training Centre at Satya Nagar in Bhubaneswar under the supervision of scientist Dr. Atal Bihari Mallick.
