The delegation submitted a memorandum on MSP hike of paddy to Kovind.

“Odisha demands hike in MSP for paddy to Rs 2,930 per quintal to boost farmers’ income. Centre should honour its commitment to implement Swaminathan Committee’s recommendation. Our fight for the hike in MSP will continue,” Naveen Patnaik tweeted.

The Opposition Congress, however, criticised the ruling party for the mega rally terming it a fun trip.

“I didn’t see a single farmer in the rally. They were all the MLAs, MPs and the BJD members. May be a handful might be there in the last rows. This is a fun trip for the BJD members,” OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik said.
