Meet Prakruti Mishra, the daughter of music composer Manmath Mishra who will be soon seen on Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki to premier on STAR Bharat from Jan 1.

Prakruti will portray ‘Devyani’, a character with negative shades. “I am basically the malicious vamp in the show who is eyeing the protagonist’s wealth and property. Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki is a romantic comedy and the Hindi remake of Bengali telly serial Bhajo Govindo that was telecast earlier on Star Jolsha. “I have been shooting for nine days now and the toughest thing I have had to do is be so nasty and spiteful to someone, even when it is just acting on the screen. It takes a lot of effort to be diabolical with all the vicious yelling, wicked gestures and sinister planning and plotting. Moreover, the elaborate costume and heavy make up that I have to put on for hours is a new experience for me,” said Prakruti, who began her career at a tender age of four and won the Best Child Artist Orissa State Film Award for Saasu Ghara Chaalijibi in 2006.
