Odisha’s first ever TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) centre has been launched at the KiiT International School here, a KiiT press release said today.
This is the 36th TOEFL centre in India.
With this facility available in Bhubaneswar, students, reserachers and professionals, who need to appear at the TOEFL test for their study trips abroad, will no longer have to go outside the state
The ETS (Educational Testing Service), USA agreed to set up the TOEFL Center here only after it found the infrastructure and other parameters at the KiiT International School, satisfactory, the release said.
ETS is the international body that conducts TOEFL.
In at least 9000 colleges and Universities across 130 countries- including Commonwealth nations like Australia, Canada, UK and USA – TOEFL is a basic requirement for admission into their rolls.
Founder, KIIT & KISS Dr Achyut Samanta expressed happiness over the setting up of the TOEFL centre saying it is the excellent study atmosphere and state of the art infrastructure at the KiiT International School that impressed the ETS.
