‘Sambad’, Odisha’s No 1 Odia daily, completes 30 years of its existence today.
By a curious coincidence, the epoch-making vernacular daily is celebrating its 30th anniversary on Vijaya Dashami, the day it was born way back in 1984.
During its eventful, 30-year long journey, the daily has not only been the trend-setter in introducing new printing technology in the industry, but has also chronicled some of the most significant developments in the areas of politics, society and culture in the state.
‘Sambad’ is celebrating the completion of its 30 years with a commemorative volume that promises to be the definitive testament to the events in the political, socio-economic and cultural life of the state in the last three decades.
By a happy coincidence, Kanak TV, the Odia TV channel from the same Eastern Media Limited (EML) stable that publishes ‘Sambad’, also completes five years of its existence today.
On this happy occasion, we at odishasuntimes.com wish our elder sisters all the very best for the long road ahead.
