Odisha woman seeks probe on D-brothers involvement in husband’s murder

There seems to be more trouble ahead for the notorious Dhalasamanta brothers (D-brothers) as a woman today met Cuttack DCP and asked him to probe their involvement in her husband’s murder.

The woman identified as Ishrat Jahan after reading a newspaper report claiming involvement of D-brothers in her husband Farooq’s murder today met DCP Sanjeev Arora and requested him to probe her husband’s murder and punish the killer.

“Dhalasamanta brothers have a role in the murder of my husband which had taken place on 12th November 2014. I had gone to meet DCP Sanjeev Arora in this connection. I came to know there that they are trying to zero in on the culprit. They have almost reached the edge in this murder case and after investigation they will reveal the details. We requested them to nab my husband’s killer,” said Ishrat  Jahan, wife of slain businessman Farooq.

The DCP is learnt to have assured Ishrat that police investigations in her husband’s murder case is on the verge of completion and everything will be crystal clear after a little more digging.

“We have got some leads on the involvement of D-brothers in the murder of Farooq. But it needs further investigation. Farooq’s family members met me today. Everything will be clear after a little more investigation,” said Sanjeev Arora DCP Cuttack.

Notably, Farooq, a pulses trader of Malgodown was allegedly shot dead by three unknown miscreants in his shop on November 12, 2014.

According to his family members Farooq had not received any death threat before his death on the fateful day. Farooq who lead an ordinary lifestyle, on the day of his death had come to his godown in the Malgodown area after having his meals but after some time his family got news that he has been shot. He was dead by the time family members reached his shop. Allegedly three miscreants had fired shots at him. He had five bullets on his body.
