Baleswar/Jaleswar, July 10:
To resolve the ongoing border dispute between Odisha and West Bengal, a coordination meeting would be held between the two states at Baleswar on July 17, official sources said.
The meeting would be attended by the collector of Medinapore district (West Bengal) and Baleswar collector Arvind Agrawal.
This would be the second meeting after a gap of 30 years of the border dispute between the two states.
The last meeting was held on May 5, 1983.
The Odisha government has taken up this matter seriously after the opposition of the West Bengal government to the construction of a sea beach police station at Udayapur in Baleswar district in the recent past.
According to reports, the Baleswar collector, on the eve of the meeting, is scheduled to visit the bordering areas of the district today to review the situation.
