Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids at four places including on the residence of Executive Officer of Balugaon Notified Area Council (NAC) in Odisha’s Khurda district on charges of accumulating wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on complaints, the sleuths of Bhubaneswar Vigilance department carried out raids at NAC Executive Officer Pramod Kumar Baral’ residence at Balugaon, Bhubaneswar and two other places.
The sleuths have seized several documents, cash, jewellery and several bank account pass books during the raid.
In a similar development, Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous searches on residence and office of Assistant Engineer Banchhabata Pandey of Deogaon block in Bolangir district on allegations of amassing wealth to his known sources of income.
According to reports, the officials of the anti-corruption wing conducted raids at eight places, including his office at Deogaon, residence at Shantigada and ancestral house at Ambabhona in Bargarh district.
The raids were conducted based on reliable information provided to the Vigilance officials regarding allegations of amassing disproportionate asset to their known sources of income.
The details of estimation of the property were not done as the raids were on till the filing of the report.
