Odisha Teachers’ Eligibility Test results declared

The results of Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) — 2015 were announced here today at Board of Secondary Education (BSE) headquarters.

Of the 56, 504 candidates who had appeared for the CT test, 7, 513 candidates have cleared the examination. For B.Ed, 38, 815 candidates had appeared the test and 6, 062 of them passed the eligibility test.

While the pass rate among CT candidates was recorded at 13.29 per cent, the pass percentage for B.Ed examinees was 15.61.

The results will be available on website- www.indiaresults.com and www.prestigeresults.in – from 3 pm onwards today. The examinees will be able to download scanned copies of their answer scripts (Optical Mark Recognition sheets) from website (www.prestigeresults.in) from tomorrow from 3 pm till December 9, informed BSE President Dakshya Prasad Nanda.

Notably, the test is held for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary and upper primary schools in the state.

OTET is a compulsory examination for all B.Ed qualified candidates to be considered for teacher’s jobs in schools run by the government and private managements.

It may be mentioned that the BSE conducts OTET twice a year to recruit eligible candidates for teacher posts.
