The swine flu death toll went up to two in Odisha following the death of a patient on Wednesday.
According to reports, Biswambar Dalabehera, an employee of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) was admitted to a private hospital at Sunabeda on February 10 after he complained acute chest pain.
But as his condition became critical, he was shifted to a hospital at Vishakhapatnam where he was tested H1N1 positive.
Later, on the advice of the doctors, he was brought to Bhubaneswar but died on the way.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old woman from Pokhariput area in Bhubaneswar was tested H1N1 positive on Wednesday. She is now undergoing treatment at a private hospital here, reports said.
As informed by Kailash Das, Director, Public Health, swab test of 40 patients were examined at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) of which eight have been tested H1N1 positive
