One of the four workers, who were critically injured in a fire mishap at a steel plant’s quarters in Odisha’s Sundargarh district yesterday, died while undergoing treatment at Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela this morning.
Notably, four workers of Bhaskar Steel & Ferro Alloy Pvt Ltd sustained 70-90 percent burn injuries after a fire broke out at the firm’s quarters near Tumakela under Lahunipada police limits in the district yesterday.
The mishap took place early morning when the four– Binay Kumar, Haider Ali, Hajar Ram and Ranjan Kumar– were sleeping at the quarters.
They were admitted to IGH, where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries today.
Three others are undergoing treatment the hospital.
