Odisha sprinters Srabani Nanda and Amiya Kumar Mallick won two and one bronze medals respectively in the second leg of the Asian Grand Prix Athletics Series 2015 at Pathumathani, TU Sports Complex, in Thailand on Thursday.
Srabani won one bronze medal each in the women 100-metre event and 4X100 women relay event.
She finished third in the 100-metre race by clocking 11.72 seconds while Zyabkina Viktoriya of Kazkisthan and Ge Man Qi of China grabbed the gold and silver medal by clocking 11.40 and 11.66 seconds respectively.
The Indian women relay team, comprising Srabani Nanda, MG Padmini, Himashree Roy and Gayanthri Govindaraj, won a bronze in the women 4X100 meter relay event by clocking 45.33 seconds. The gold and silver medal claimed by China and Thailand-A team by clocking 44.80 and 45.03 seconds respectively.
In the men 4X100 relay event Amiya Kumar Mallick won a bronze medal for India by clocking 39.60 seconds.
Mallick along with Jothisankar Debnath, Krishna Kumar Rana and Manikandan Arumugam were the members of the Indian relay team.
