Bhubaneswar, April 19:
Odisha’s ace sprinter Dutee Chand has been nominated to be part of the national training camp after her legal victory in testosterone case.
Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS), the highest jury of international sports, had recently allowed her to take part in in the Asian Championship at Wuhan, China from June 3 to 7.
While she is already competing in domestic competitions, this makes a strong case for her to be back in the national squad and even play in international competitions.
Sports Authority of India (SAI) has made special arrangements for Dutee’s training wherein she can practice under national coach N Ramesh at the famed Pulela Gopichand Academy.
The training camp will continue till August 30 and SAI will take care of all her expenses. Dutee has received a letter on Friday from SAI informing her the details.
It may be noted that the national level training camp is being organized in Patiala and Bangalore to prepare for the Asian Championship scheduled to be held in Wuhan, China.
