Well known singer from Odisha Susmita Das has been nominated as a member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
A notification in this regard has been issued by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently.
Das will remain in office for a period of three years or till the next notification by the MIB, the notification said.
Currently, eminent film director Pahlaj Nihalani is the chairman of CBFC.
Notably, Das is a well known singer of both classical and modern songs. She has earned accolades for her singing both within the country and abroad.
