The Odisha government today reconstituted the Special Single Window Clearance Committee (SSWCC) for promotion and development of tourism and related industries projects in the tourism sector for investment of less than Rs 50 crore.
While the chief secretary is the ex-officio chairman, additional chief secretary Forest & Environment department, principal secretary Water Resources department, principal secretary Revenue & Disaster Mitigation department, principal secretary Industries department, commissioner-cum-secretary Tourism department, secretary MSME department, special secretary General Administration department, CMD IDCO Bhubaneswar, vice chairman Bhubaneswar Development Authority, director Environment, director Tourism, member secretary OSPCB and CEO Chilika Development Authority are ex-officio members, CMD IPICOL Bhubaneswar is the ex-officio member convener of the committee.
The committee was approved by Industry Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, said an official release.
The committee shall exercise such powers and functions as are exercisable by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority under sub-sections (2) to (6) (both inclusive) of section 4 of the said Act in relation to the tourism sector. It will also have power to consult experts who have special knowledge and practical experience in matters relating to or relevant to tourism projects under consideration by the committee.
Besides, the state government also nominated/restructured non-official directors to IDCO Board of Directors and was approved by the Industry Minister.
The state government nominated the following four non-official directors to the Board of Directors of IDCO as per Clause-4(2) (xii) of the OIIDC Act, 1980 to restructure the Board for another term of three years except the representative of MSMEs who will hold the office on a yearly rotational basis.
They are chairman, CII, Odisha branch, president of UCCI, Bhubaneswar (President of UCCI/OSSIA/OASME will be as directors of IDCO Board on a yearly rotation basis, as representative of MSMEs), Cherin Thomas, CEO, IDFC Foundation and Maheswar Sahu, IAS (Retd) now working as chairman, Gujarat CSR Authority.
