Bhubaneswar, Mar 24:
The Congress named Dharanidhar Nayak as its candidate from the Lok Sabha constituency this evening, putting at rest all speculation about a possible last minute change of constituencies for Union minister and the party’s campaign committee chief Srikant Jena.
Though Jena had already been named the Congress candidate in Balasore, the seat that he represents in parliament now, there was speculation that he wanted a change of seat to Kendrapara, his old constituency.
With Nayak, the Congress has now named the candidates for all 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.
The party, however, is yet to name its candidates for 25 Assembly constituencies. The announcement is expected to come tomorrow, party sources said.
