The BJP today announced change of candidates for five assembly seats announced by it earlier.The party has replaced Subash Panigrahi in Deogarh assembly seat with scion of the Deogarh royal family Nitesh Gangdev who recently joined the BJP after quitting Congress.
The party has replaced Birendra Tahal with Sarat Chandra Behera in Khallikote assembly seat, Hitesh Bagarti with Duryodhan Majhi in Khariar, Manoj Behera with Pramod Behera in Daspalla and Anirudha Pradhan with Artatrana Mahapatra in Narla .
It may be mentioned here that Hitesh Bagarti had declined to contest elections on health grounds after his name was announced by the party while Duryodhan Majhi joined the BJP after being denied a ticket to contest elections by the BJD.
Duryodhan joined the party at the recently concluded Modi rally at Sambalpur.
