The election commission has categorised as many as 250 polling stations in the Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency, by-poll of which will be held on October 15, as highly sensitive.
The commission has decided to deploy micro observers in 60 of these 250 booths while CCTV cameras will be installed in all 250 booths.
The constituency, spread over Kandhamal, Boudh, Ganjam and Nayagarh districts, has 637 polling stations.
Voting will be held for the seat from 7 am to 4 pm and voters will be required to produce identity proof to vote, informed sources in the EC.
The number of voters in the constituency is 11.41 lakh which includes 5.81 lakh male voters and 5.60 lakh female voters. About 6,080 employees have been engaged for the elections.
By-poll to the Kandhamal Lok Sabha seat was necessitated following the death of BJD MP Hemendra Chandra Singh last month.
