Bhubaneswar: The Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Twin City Commissionerate Police today said they will soon issue a ‘quit India’ notice to three Thai women who were rescued while busting a sex racket which was running in the guise of a spa in Kharvela Nagar of Odisha capital last week.
The police has also recommended the Ministry of External Affairs to cancel their passport as the women were engaged as masseuses in the spa with having tourist visa, which is a violation of the Foreigners Act.
“We will soon issue leave India notice to the Thai women and recommend the ministry of external affairs to cancel their passport,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
The cops had informed to Thai Embassy to get in touch with the family of the rescued women but there is no such assistance has been received so far, Bhoi added.
The foreigners have been accommodated in a short-stay home on the outskirts of the city.
Worth mentioning, a sex racket running at a spa in Kharvel Nagar area of Bhubaneswar was busted yesterday and five women and four persons were arrested in this connection.
