Cuttack, Mar 9:
The Twin City Commissionerate Police has served summons to Rabindra Sethi, the then stenographer of former Odisha DG of Police Sanjeev Marik to appear at the Chauliaganj police station within seven days in connection with gangster Dhalasamanta brothers (D-brothers) case, police sources revealed.
Sethi is likely to be quizzed for his suspected links with the gangster brothers, the sources added.
Allegedly, while D-brothers were being produced at the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM)’s Court in Cuttack on February 13, Sethi had met them and had spoken to the duo for few minutes.
Following the allegation Sethi who had been transferred to the Biju Patnaik Police Academy from the Odisha Police headquarters here two months back was immediately transferred to the office of the DIG (South-West Range) at Koraput.
However, Sethi while refuting the allegation had said that he had a glimpse of the D-brothers from a distance after obtaining due permission of the police officers on duty there and had not spoken a word to them.
On the other hand, former MP and former IG Police Anadi Sahu had alleged that Sethi had gone to tell D-brothers not to utter a word on their relations with Marik.
Sahu had further alleged that Sethi was deputed by Marik to meet D-brothers at the court premises and Sethi used to handle all illegal monetary transactions of the former DGP.
