Bhubaneswar, July 16:
Commissionerate Police (CP) in Odisha today seized four stolen cars following an interrogation with a ‘hard core criminal’, who was actively involved in theft of cars in Khordha district.
The accused, identified as Manas Kumar Mangaraj of Patharakata village in Khordha district, had looted these vehicles from various places of the district, police said.
He was in police remand since July 11.
So far, the special squad of CP has seized a total of eight cars stolen by him, based on information collected from Mangaraj during interrogation.
The accused had sold these cars to people in New Delhi and Kolkata at affordable prices, the officials said, adding, they are interrogating the accused further to locate and seize other cars stolen by him.
