Police have rescued a missing woman from Balisankara village under Talsara police station in Odisha’s Sundargarh district from a house at Indrapuram in Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh and are on the lookout for another woman missing from the district.

RAPEActing on a complaint lodged by Duryodhan Naik that his daughter Jayamati (21) was lured away by Govind Oram of his village to Delhi on October 29 last year with a promise to provide her a good job. However, on reaching Delhi, he later sold away Jayamati to a person.

He also said his daughter had telephoned her cousin on December 31 and had requested to rescue her.

Acting on the complaint, Talsara police, during investigation, came to know that Jayamati was working as a domestic help in a house at Indrapuram in Ghaziabad area.

Sibani later took her to Agra where she was sold to a person who engaged her as a domestic help in his house.

The family members later came to know about her plight as she informed her younger sister at Sundargarh about the incident and requested to rescue her.

Following a complaint by the family members, Sundargarh SP R Prakash directed the Bargaon Police to move to Agra and rescue the woman.
