Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra today said that the annual Plus Two Examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) are likely to be held in the first week of March next year.


A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting between Mishra and concerned officials at the State Secretariat here today. It was decided in the meeting to complete the exams as early as possible in view of the upcoming panchayat elections and summer season.

Notably, the panchayat elections likely to be held in February next year had raised uncertainty over regular conducting of the Plus Two exams.

The minister also informed that the annual Matriculation exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will commence in the last week of February and would be completed before Holi. Around 6 lakh 12 thousand students are likely to appear the exams, he said.
