The annual Plus Two annual examinations in Odisha would begin from March 2 next year. A notification to this effect was issued by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) here on Saturday.
The examination will conclude on March 24.
The Council has informed all Plus Two government and private colleges in the state about the examination schedule.
As per the notification, the examination for the English paper for Science, Arts and Commerce students would begin from March 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
The examination for the students of Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational Education would conclude on March 20, 21, 23 and 24 respectively.
The duration of the examination for each paper would be three hours for all streams except Botany and Zoology, which would be of two yours. The examination would begin from 10 AM and end at 1 PM while the examination for Botany and Zoology would be from 10 AM and end at 12 noon.
Like previous years, the practical examinations would be held ahead of the theory examinations from January 27 to February 2, which would enable the students to keep themselves prepared for the theory examinations, CHSE authorities said.
In view of the JEE examinations, scheduled to begin from April 4, the CHSE authorities have made specific arrangements to complete the +2 examinations much earlier. The authorities have planned to announce the results of the examinations by the second week of May.
While the authorities are yet to decide on the modifications in the examination process, the decision to prepare a 24-page answer sheet is almost finalized, sources in the Council said.
