Bhubaneswar, Jun 29:

The Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), which has started an investigation into the circulation of several purported photographs of the pataali (burial) rituals of the old idols in Koili Baikuntha and carving of new idols inside the temple in Odisha’s holy town of Puri, has emphatically dismissed these pictures as fake.

“The photos showing the pataali of the old idols in the Koili Baikuntha and carving of new idols inside the temple, widely circulated in the social media, are irrelevant and have no veracity and authenticity,” said SJTA in a press release on Saturday.

“Any person, who has received these photos through the social media, can contact the public relations officer (PRO) of the temple administration immediately with his mobile phone number 9861093712”, the release added.
