Puri, May 5:
The daru of Lord Balabhadra was taken to Koili Baikuntha inside Shri Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri town this morning.
Earlier in the day, thousands of devotees pulled the daru sagadi (cart) of Lord Balabhadra from Alam Chandi temple at about 5.30 AM.
The sagadi was later taken to the Singhadwara (main gate) of the temple from where it was taken to the Uttara Dwara (north gate) via the Paschima Dwara (western gate).
The sagadi was later taken to Koili Baikuntha after the temple servitors performed the rituals of the daru.
The district administration had made elaborate security arrangements for smooth conduct of the procession of Lord Balabhadra’s daru.
