Konark, Apr 1:
The Daitapati servitors of Shri Jagannath temple in Odisha’s Puri town, on the fourth day of the Banajaga Yatra, left the Muktakash Ranga Manch (open air theatre) at Konark this evening for Shankareswar temple at Narua on the bank of Prachi river.
As informed by a young Daitapati servitor, the team had decided to leave Konark in the midnight. However, it changed its decision after it received the order from the Lord Sudarsan to set out the yatra in the evening.
“We had decided to leave the place at midnight. But as we received the order from Lord Sudarsan, we changed our schedule and began our journey at 5.50 PM,” he added.
As scheduled, the Banajaga team would stay at the temple tonight and leave for Deuli mutt at Kakatpur in the early morning hours tomorrow.
The district administration has arranged Mahaprasad for the Banajaga Yatris at Shankareswar temple.
