With the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations just four days away, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, today began the despatch of OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheets to all zonal offices in the state.
Sources in the BSE said that the OMR sheets, after reaching at the zonal office would be handed over to the centre superintendents.
The OMR sheets for all six subjects were simultaneously sent to Cuttack, Sambalpur and Baleswar zone offices and the offices of the DEO in the remaining 27 districts from where they would be collected by the centre superintendents of the examinations centres.
The OMR sheets have been kept serially according to the date and subjects of the examinations while each OMR sheet has the roll number of the candidate.
The OMR Standard sheets would be sent to the examination centres as per the number of the candidates.
However, the Board has decided to keep extra OMR non-standard sheets at the examination centres which would be provided to the candidates if they find wrong information regarding their name and roll numbers in the OMR Standard sheets.
It may be mentioned that a total of 5,92,281 students will appear the annual examinations in 2799 centres of the state.
