The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) would begin in Odisha from February 23 and end on March 9, BSE president Dr Daskhya Prasad Nanda announced here today.
More than six lakh students would appear in the examination.
The first session of the high school examination, which would require students to answer questions on the OMR sheet, would begin at 9 am and would last till 10 am while the second would begin, after a 10-minute breather, at 10.10 am and continue till 11.40 am, Nanda said.
“The students would need to enter the examination hall by 8.30 am. They will be given question papers and OMR sheets at 8.45 am. The examination will start at 9 am and end at 10 am. The answer sheets would be collected from them in the next 10 minutes. The next roound will start at 10.10 am and end at 11.40 am,” he said.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the examination and ensuring the safety of the question papers in view of the problems encountered last year, Nanda said.
The evaluation of answer sheets would begin on March 15, the BSE chief said.
